Lucas was not a pirate and yet.

"Ahoy, what the hell is wrong with me speech? Aye."

He looked around, not finding any hidden midget pirates and shrugged, moving off to hide himself amongst the go karts in need of repair.

Lucas had his ball polisher back.

It was a good day to be at work.

Kaylee didn't mind working on a holiday (even one she only kinda sorta knew of) because truth be told, this was how she'd spend it anyway, given her druthers.

So she was there, carefully putting the finishing touches on Lucas' ball polisher.

Hee. Ball polisher.

Lucas was bored. His ball polisher - no the ball polisher was still off getting fixed at the shop.

To get over his boredom, Lucas busied himself taking a play through the course to make sure everything was working the way it was supposed to.

Wonders was open!

Lucas was glad to get back into the swing of things by showing for work. He'd spent yesterday calling home and explaining how he'd ended up in yet another coma to his mom. She was surprisingly understanding under the caveat that he visit soon ( Read more... )

Hunched over a table with a cup of coffee and a notebook, Lucas had big writing plans for the afternoon. He'd filled many pages with quickly scrawled print before he reached for the cup again, discovering his coffee was quite cool.

To say he was distracted from his surroundings would be an understatement.

[Open! Especially for spirits, whee!]

While Lucas doubted that anyone would want to visit these fake Wonders of the World when they could actually go off island and see volcanoes, he still had a job to do.

And so, there he was, polishing the putters and buffing the balls while he stood at the counter, hoping for some kind of entertainment.

And wondering what that smell was. Huh.

Lucas made his way to Wonders and opened up on time. It was a lazy sort of day, so he sat on a stool in the ticket booth, polishing golf balls and planning a trip into Europe.

Wonders of the World Mini Golf and Go Karts was open for business.

It was a new month and nearing the start of a new semester so Lucas was discovering he had a new mission at Wonders of the World Mini Golf and Go Karts. Namely making grass grow.

There was a patch along the edge of the Golden Gate Bridge that just would not grow. Lucas set to work cutting a perfectly-sized piece of sod to fill the hole ( Read more... )

Opening Wonders was more than a little fun for Lucas today. It wasn't so much like working as it was chasing Jamie as he played through all the holes on his own. Repeatedly. In the rain. And then refusing to let him ride in the souped up go karts because it was too wet out ( Read more... )
